Besides, the size of the 4" diaphragms with the 2" throat are just wrong, for many reasons.

Oh - and also because Jim Lansing WASN'T an engineer: he was a tool and die maker, like his brother. He didn't invent anything. He built the tools necessary to manufacture the designs of others (Blackburn, Carrington, and Hilliard being among the more well known).
